It truly was an awesome experience of fellowship, preaching, and trusting the Lord. More than anything, I hope my stories (which are really God's stories as told through a broken vessel - me), anyway, I hope these stories will stir a fire within you to go out and "seek and save that which is lost".Stevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17127628761952043042noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3426013327000243753.post-53035703166994198872010-03-02T08:17:00.019-06:002010-03-02T12:00:05.625-06:00Trip To Mardi Gras Part 3The rest of the week, all the preachers got up between 7-9am. We would each spend a little time on our own (or maybe with one or two others) doing our daily devotions. We would then get some breakfast, debrief for the day's events, and head out to contend with those who forsake His law.On the second day, I was caring some pretty heavy gear (remember, we pretty much packed for an all day event). A street-preacher driving partiers to their party...you can't script that!!I departed from my new friends at the budget rental car return around noon on Friday. Below is a "brief" summary of how this trip started out. What should have taken me a few hours of flight time to arrive in New Orleans, turned out to be quiet the event. Something that only God could orchestrate. We want our children to love and serve the Lord. One way to do this is to have them participate in sharing the Love of God reveled through Jesus Christ at a young age. As parents, we will never have this opportunity again - they are only 3 and 2 once! I do not want to regret not taking them out even Stevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17127628761952043042noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3426013327000243753.post-7652952696241046552009-05-07T14:02:00.003-05:002009-05-07T14:28:21.662-05:00The Heavenly ManI was recently given a book titled The Heavenly Man (2003). This book is about a Chinese man, Brother Yun, who was born in 1958 and became a christian around the age of 10. The book is basically an autobiography of his life as a christian in communist China. One nice thing about the book is the dates of the accounts are not a thousand years old. I decided to take my two daughters with me, ages 3 and 2 (almost 2). It was a great day with them as they were able to pass out many tracts and watch us share the Gospel with people. Upon leaving, my oldest daughter Amariah asked when I was going to make them a sign? To make a long story short, on the above date I approached a young man, asked Him if I could talk to him but was declined. He said he and I had nothing in common, stating he was a self-proclaimed "satan worshiper". Although these characteristics about God are true, they are only half of the story. In fact, I would dare say those characteristics of God make very little sense if we do not understand (or know about) His wrath, anger, hate, and vengeance.Several years ago I came across a sermon by Johnathan Stevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17127628761952043042noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3426013327000243753.post-81431091455620349132008-09-25T15:10:00.003-05:002008-09-25T15:26:46.223-05:00Duluth News Tribune ArticlesThe Duluth News Tribune printed two articles about this ministry.
